Our dual language students' writing talent at Evers elementary has been recognized in a major way when district representatives came to award three students for their participation in the Adopt-A-School Essay contest. The winners are students of 4th and 5th grade dual language classes, led by two amazing writing teachers: Alice Vázquez - 4th grade and Mónica Coto - 5th grade.

Please take a minute of your time to write a congratulatory note to each one of these students (you can email it to their teachers). These kids deserve our acknowledgement and praise for all their hard work and perseverance. Imagine how excited they are going to feel to receive so many notes from teachers all over the district. We want to keep our DL students motivated and engaged so that they have the self-confidence to pursue their dreams to the best of their abilities, and we all play a very important role in this process.
